Shadow Juries

When you're at trial, it's critical to know what the jury is thinking every moment they are in the courtroom. Our shadow jury gives your team the most accurate means of determining jurors' positions on a daily basis.

A shadow jury acts as a surrogate for the real jury. Our team interviews and selects shadow jurors that accurately represent the demographic and attitudinal characteristics of the empanelled jurors. Shadow jurors sit in the courtroom whenever the real jury is present and listen to the same evidence and arguments the actual jury hears.

At the end of each court day, our team interviews the shadow jurors to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the day's proceedings. Afterward, they immediately report back to the trial team with findings and recommendations. This daily feedback helps the trial team specifically assess the persuasiveness of their arguments, as well as the opposition's arguments. A shadow jury is an invaluable tool for identifying key evidence that some jurors may need clarified or emphasized.
