Michael Connelly is Director of Intellectual Property Litigation at DOAR. Mike leads expert witness engagements relating to IP disputes, patent valuations and the development of patent portfolios, serving as a liaison between clients and our teams of consulting and testifying experts. He is responsible for implementing DOAR’s strategic plan for growth and expansion in IP consulting, making certain our clients are prepared for and educated about the future of IP litigation and how DOAR can assist them.
Mike brings to DOAR over 20 years of experience in litigating intellectual property disputes. As a partner at McDermott Will & Emery, he litigated patent and trade secret cases, including extensive experience in front of the International Trade Commission. Over the last decade he has managed dozens of IP licensing campaigns - overseeing IP litigation strategy and implementation, directing patent prosecution, developing defensive IP strategies and managing corporate IP programs. Mike frequently speaks on intellectual property and international trade-related issues.
Mike holds a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science & Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University.
