Business Development Manager

DOAR is looking for an Inside Sales Consultant whose primary focus will be to increase business opportunities for DOAR’s Consulting Services which include trial consulting and expert witness consulting for intellectual property litigation and employment litigation.

Successful candidates must have strong inside sales experience preferably in law firm sales and a background in one of the following areas; Intellectual Property, Employment, Finance. Ideal candidates will have experience working with large law firms, strong case management skills, impeccable communication skills, be highly motivated and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, sales initiative and independence in supporting DOAR’s Consulting Services on a wide variety of complex issues. A high level of legal analytical and organizational skills is required in order to identify emerging legal trends, potential client prospects, and to execute tasks as necessary. Responsibilities

  • Generate new business/case opportunities.
  • Research business growth opportunities and industry trends.
  • Develop strategies to increase the client database.
  • Make outbound calls and utilize email marketing to set meetings with potential clients with the goal of generating new client relationships and new business for DOAR.
  • Manage and retain relationships with current clients.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of the business services and value proposition.
  • Successful candidates will be motivated, creative, analytical, efficient, and will have superior organizational and detail skills. Works well independently, is highly motivated and self-directed.

Skills and Required Experience

  • Law Degree, MBA or Paralegal certification preferred but not required.
  • A strong business development background in inside legal sales with an understanding of either: Intellectual Property, Financial Services or Employment is required.
  • Must have superior legal research skills as well as being adept at using Legal News Sources and Legal Research Sources such as Westlaw/Lexis/Law360.
  • Experience working with law firm partners.
  • Experience with design and implementation of business development strategy.
  • Experience in handling sensitive/confidential business matters and information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office & knowledge of various CRM and/or litigation support applications.
