DOAR is a legal consulting firm that advises lawyers involved in complex high-profile, high-stakes, criminal and civil legal disputes. With offices in midtown Manhattan and downtown Los Angeles, DOAR has been involved in many of the most notable and closely watched cases filed over the past 25+ years. Our consulting teams are comprised of individuals with experience or education in psychology, communications, engineering, graphic design, computer science, and/or law.  We conduct pre-trial research, including focus groups and mock trials, to further advise our clients on their most effective case strategy. We advise our clients on the development of trial themes and visual presentation strategies for cases all over the world. We create and test compelling presentations using cutting-edge audio/visual technologies to support the lawyers’ arguments.  We support trial lawyers in the courtroom by providing first-class evidence management and presentation.

DOAR is currently seeking an Analyst to join our Trial Consulting Practice.   This is a unique opportunity that offers hands-on experience and unparalleled exposure to the legal industry at the highest level. Our Analysts provide support to our consultant teams related to jury research, graphics design, evidentiary database creation, video editing, client relationships, sales, marketing, staffing, office and facility coordination, and various other administrative tasks. Training will be provided to ensure consistency across all roles and responsibilities.

Compensation: $58,000-$63,000 base

Primary
Responsibilities

  • Coordination of all logistical aspects of trials and jury research events
  • Creative consultation and development of visual presentations
  • Assist with the development of graphics
  • Research and memo drafting
  • Assist with developing thought leadership projects (articles, studies, blog posts, etc.)
  • Support the development of jury questionnaires
  • Assist with audio/visual and networking systems in support of jury research activities and trials
  • Support collection and analyses of qualitative and quantitative data
  • Assist with jury selection research
  • Proofread out-going proposal materials
  • General administrative support of projects as assigned
  • Support company sales efforts
  • Perform market research

Job
Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Knowledge of SPSS a plus
  • Highly motivated and able to work in constantly changing environments
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with law firm senior partners and internal members of the team
  • Capable of consistently performing at a high level in high-pressure environments with strict, time-sensitive deadlines
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a group environment
  • Ability to facilitate multiple tasks/requests received from internal consultants while demonstrating professionalism
  • Passion for client service and achieving positive outcomes
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally to support client engagements
  • Working nights and weekends periodically required
