Melissa Pomerantz



Melissa Pomerantz is a Director at DOAR, who leverages her psychology background to assist clients with the development of their trial strategy by facilitating focus groups and mock trial research, designing jury questionnaires, and providing consultation on openings and summations. She also uses her background in art to create compelling, persuasive graphics that both educate and advance our client’s case strategies.

Melissa has consulted on a variety of matters, including labor and employment, whistleblower, class action, insurance, securities litigation, insider trading, patent infringement, and more.

Prior to joining DOAR, Melissa acquired extensive research experience within the Brooklyn Court system assessing whether defendants were fit to stand trial, as well as assisting in the analysis of voir dire on a death penalty case. She has also worked in the non-profit arts sector, organizing traveling art exhibitions.

Melissa holds master’s degrees in both art history from Columbia University and forensic psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology and painting from Washington University in St. Louis.
