Biography
As President of WIT Legal, Mike oversees operations and research, and implementation efforts. He drives the affiliate experts program and ensures that WIT affiliates with only the most qualified and seasoned academics and industry professionals.
Mike has more than 25 years of experience litigating intellectual property disputes and is a leading authority on the wireless communications, automotive technology, digital streaming, and semiconductor markets with broad knowledge about the trends and risks impacting these industries today and in the future.
Before joining WIT, Mike was a partner at McDermott Will & Emery. He litigated patent and trade secret cases and has extensive experience presenting in front of the International Trade Commission. Over the last decade, Mike has managed dozens of I.P. licensing campaigns—overseeing I.P. litigation strategy and implementation, directing patent prosecution, developing defensive I.P. strategies, and managing corporate I.P. programs. He was also a co-founder of The Medici Group, a successful patent portfolio company.
Mike received a J.D. degree from the Georgetown University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in materials science & engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
Mike lives in the D.C. metropolitan area with his family and is an automobile enthusiast.
