Amanda Scarlata is a Research Coordinator at DOAR. In this role, she supports all phases of jury research engagements, including mock trials, focus groups, and surveys. Amanda coordinates the logistical and operational aspects of research projects, working closely with consultants, clients, venues, and vendors to ensure research events run efficiently. Her responsibilities include managing schedules, supporting juror recruitment, assisting with questionnaire development, reviewing research data, and contributing to analysis and reporting. She also assists with jury selection efforts, including juror questionnaire review and background research.
Prior to joining DOAR, Amanda worked as a Project Analyst with a large victim services program upstate, where she supported forensic nurse examiner initiatives and managed programmatic and fiscal reporting for grant-funded projects. She has additional research experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Youth Law and Psychology Lab at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where she analyzed appellate cases, coded legal data, and assisted with grant writing and research dissemination.
Amanda earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University at Albany and her Master’s in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
