Evidence Presentation Consultant

DOAR is a premier legal consulting firm that supports attorneys in high-stakes, high-profile civil and criminal matters. The Evidence Presentation Consultant is a client-facing role responsible for managing the technical and executional aspects of trial, arbitration, hearing, and pre-trial presentation work. This person serves as a critical partner to trial teams, ensuring evidence is organized, presentation-ready, and executed flawlessly in high-pressure environments.

This role is ideal for an experienced trial presentation professional who brings strong courtroom judgment, technical fluency, and calm execution under pressure. While not directly responsible for originating business, the Evidence Presentation Consultant is expected to build credibility with clients, strengthen relationships over time, and contribute to DOAR’s reputation through excellent work, professionalism, and responsiveness.

This is not a traditional 9-to-5 role. Trial schedules, travel, and case demands may require evening and weekend work, extended hours on site, and short-notice flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

Client Delivery

  • Serve as the lead consultant during trials, arbitrations, hearings, and other high-stakes proceedings.
  • Manage the real-time presentation of exhibits, demonstratives, and video depositions in court.
  • Build and manage case-specific presentation databases containing exhibits, transcripts, video depositions, demonstratives, and other case materials.
  • Prepare and quality check all trial materials to ensure accuracy, organization, and accessibility.
  • Create and edit video deposition clips, including impeachment designations and counter-designations.
  • Conduct multimedia editing, transcript synchronization, and document management.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and trial teams on witness examinations, evidentiary issues, opening statements, and closing arguments.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to attorney requests, court rulings, and shifting trial dynamics while ensuring seamless execution in live environments.

  • Build credibility with clients over time so that attorneys see you as a trusted expert and valued partner on their matters.
  • Support proposal development, pitches, or other business development efforts as needed, without direct responsibility for originating business.
  • Assist with the development of analytical graphics and related visual trial materials.
  • Perform quality control on client deliverables and presentation materials.
  • Stay current on trial technology, litigation support tools, and emerging practices through continuing education and professional development.

Team Contribution & Collaboration

  • Work directly with trial counsel, experts, consultants, and internal team members to ensure efficient and seamless execution across matters.
  • Coordinate courtroom, hearing, and war room technology setup, including A/V systems, site visits, and vendor management.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues in real time without disrupting proceedings.
  • Communicate clearly about timelines, risks, support needs, and readiness across the case team.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, calm, and solutions-oriented team environment, especially under pressure.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of trial presentation or litigation support experience, including primary hot seat responsibility during trial
  • Experience supporting federal and state court proceedings and operating independently with minimal supervision
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong command of trial presentation and litigation support tools, including OnCue, Relativity, TextMap, TimeCoder, Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition, Photoshop, and Office 365
  • Experience with transcript synchronization, video editing, deposition workflows, and exhibit database creation and management; familiarity with SQL or Access is a plus
  • Strong communication, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure and adapt in real time
  • Existing relationships with law firms, litigation support teams, or in-house legal departments are a plus

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $130,000–$165,000, along with comprehensive benefits and bonus opportunities aligned with experience, performance, and contributions.

  • Life Insurance – MetLife (TriNet) – DOAR provides a $50,000 insurance policy for all employees. Additional products are available at the cost of the employee through MetLife.
  • Long Term Disability – Hartford (TriNet) – DOAR provides a 60% policy up to $5,000 per month starting 90 days after the disability.
  • Legal Shield (TriNet) – employee funded.
  • Aflac (TriNet) – short-term disability, accident insurance, critical illness, and hospital plans are offered. All plans are employee funded.
  • HRA – Gente – DOAR reimburses employees enrolled in the medical plan up to $2,000 toward the deductible. Employees file for reimbursement through Gente; an Explanation of Benefits showing the deductible amount is required.
  • Flexible Spending – TriNet/Health Equity WageWorks – employees can set aside pretax dollars for medical expenses up to the IRS maximum for the given year. All amounts are available at the start of the program which resets on 1/1 each year. A credit card is provided.
  • Transit/Dependent Care – TriNet/Health Equity WageWorks – employees sign up directly and prefund expenses. Employees manage the account directly.
  • 401(k) – Nationwide – DOAR matches 20% of contribution up to 1% of salary. Effective 6/1/2025 the match increases to 50% of contribution up to 6% of salary. Employees can join at the beginning of a quarter and need to create a Nationwide account then submit a deduction request email to HR to begin the contributions.
