Description

DOAR is looking for a Business Development Executive (“BDE”) whose primary focus will be to create new revenue opportunities with trial lawyers involved in significant, complex commercial, and white-collar criminal litigation matters.  The BDE will be responsible for presenting DOAR’s fully integrated value proposition which includes jury consulting, trial graphics, and trial presentation services.

Successful candidates must have a strong understanding of the law firm market, a proven track record of successful selling to lawyers, and a desire to pursue high-profile, high-revenue opportunities. Ideal candidates will have experience working with large law firms, strong case management skills, impeccable communication skills, be highly motivated, and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, sales initiative, and independence. A high level of legal analytical and organizational skills is required in order to identify emerging legal trends, potential client prospects, and to execute tasks as necessary.

Compensation: $125,000-$150,000 base plus a variable comp plan

Responsibilities

  • Generate qualified sales opportunities.
  • Identify target prospects and significant litigation matters that are suitable for DOAR.
  • Develop strategies to increase client engagement.
  • Create opportunities to present DOAR’s value proposition.
  • Participate in sales and marketing strategies and events to increase client awareness of DOAR.
  • Drive one to two million in revenue per year.

Job
Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience selling legal services.
  • A law degree strongly preferred but not required.
  • A proven track record of successfully selling consultative services.
  • Experience working with law firm partners and in-house counsel.
  • Strong client relationships.
  • Experience with design and implementation of business development strategy.
  • Experience in handling sensitive/confidential business matters and information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office & knowledge of various CRM and legal research platforms.
